"lately I've gotten a bit tired of shooting with my Polaroid cameras, and what I usually do when this happens (quite often!) is that I try and learn something new about photography: portrait, medium formats, photojournalism, documentary and even sport photography. exploring different genres and formats not only allows me to widen my perspective on life, but it also helps me experiment, discover what I like, what I don’t like, and eventually expand my understanding of my own creativity."

#21 take tap dance classes

it hasn't been easy. and my body resisted even before I strapped on my tap shoes. but then I would be embarrassed and realize that it's okay. I would forget and slip and almost fall and still laugh. I would remember voraciously watching musical movies from the early 50s when I was a film student. and for that one hour every Monday night, I would feel a few steps closer to Fred, Gene and Judy. a few steps closer to the free spirit that I aspire to be.

fresh tomato juice, my new polaroid SLR680 camera, buying school supplies, training for La Parisienne, working on my book and baking raspberry clafoutis with the boys.
