venturing beyond my comfort zone

P10400093789.jpg

I had no errands to run, no friends to join for lunch. only the thought of a couple of hours alone in the city blending temptingly with the opportunity to take photos with my new camera. I felt awkward, elated and tired and came back home with only a couple of Polaroid pictures. but the ideas, the little finds, the experiments while walking down the Seine. venturing beyond my comfort zone, and allowing my creativity to soar.

it just felt so good.

I, too, love that photo. I miss my Polaroid...(it died in the islands).

I'm so envious of you Irene, being in Paris and all. I loved the city and will be back some day, this time with the hubbie. That's a beautiful picture!

It's hard to step out of your comfort zone, I know. But, I've found that when I do, I always have a great adventure.

I haven't been reading much online lately and I realize now, after reading through your latest entries, how much I've missed your posts! And is that a large format camera? And a polaroid? I'd love to see more of Paris through your lens, so click away.
I was also panging with heartache reading about one of the twin's anger at limitations. My son is nearing that corner, and I didn't see it coming until this post. Like you mentioned, before these feelings arise they are so empowered and vibrant. I shudder to think of that diminishing in the slightest.
ENJOY these moments of creativity, alone, where you can breathe fully and experience serendipitous moments, perfect light and unexpected details.
