I'm still here

DSC055943621.jpg

angling for the right pair of jeans that would magically lift my flat butt and camouflage my short legs. surviving lice fest, blog depression and a Dora-themed birthday party. I'm still here. thoroughly reading your blogs. my morning inspirations. laughing, worrying and pondering with you.

today I love my life. constantly being reinvented. snow in March. my husband sleeping his face resting on the palm of my hand. endless opportunities clinking, allowing my soul to howl its creativity and embrace art and beauty. my children. a film-director asking me to write a short screenplay. the affection and support of friends who call me nugget. my confidence and discernment expanding. and my heart, my soul. peaceful. at last.

today I gave up my pay to have my freedom back. and that has made all the difference.

I am so relieved to hear that, Irene. I've been worried about you, and Pink Rocket confirmed that things were not good--I am so glad that you are back. Way to go, sister, making the right decision for you. You rock!

Good for you! I've been worried - hadn't seen you commenting around... But you sound good. :)

We've missed you! I had to make that tough choice too a few years back. The pay was nice, but the loss of time with my kids and for myself was not something I could handle and be happy at the same time.

Take care of yourself, my friend!

What great picture...jean shopping is no fun. I am glad life is looking up and wow how exciting to have someone want you to write a screen play-you should totally do it! And I also wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your contributions to blogging baby!

I thought so when I saw that you have not updated. In any case, I am happy for you, whatever choice you make. It always is best to answer to our needs and priorities. What makes us and our loved ones happIER always should be our main concern.

You know that I am always here :-)

Oh yea... will be in Paris in July with my sisters. Will be heavily pregnant but would like to have at least coffee with you :-)

Look at you, cutie. I'm glad you're feeling better and happy with your life at the moment. That's all we can ask for, right? Love the jeans you have on as well as the pile next to you. Definitely true to how jeans shopping goes in the real world.

3 things. Aside from this great post. 1. I love the color orange, so seeing it in your blog makes me super happy. 2. shopping is the best therapy known to women. 3. You look damn great in those jeans! <yes I am a wee bit jealous>

sounds like you've been through the wringer! lice--omg. i had that when i was 10--my little brother picked it up from nursery school-- and it was a nightmare even then. glad to hear you've survived, and with flying colors! the screenplay opportunity sounds very intriguing.....

oh the WOES of trying on a million pairs of jeans!! and even after thinking that you have found the true one pair...you take them home, and the bod wears into them too funny, or the wash messes with the fit...

sigh!

but irene, you are looking like a gap model here!! you must have gone home with those...

(yay! i found the comments!)

OOOh, I have a flat butt too! You look fantastic--of course. I truly don't believe your capable of NOT. I'm so glad you quite Les Boutchous, clearly there are A LOT OF US who thrive on a daily dose of Irene.

Oh, and LICE? GAH!! I so get the creepy crawlies just thinking about them. As a teacher, that was definitely something I was always terrified of (but thankfully never got!)

And a screenplay?? YOU ROCK!!
