you're 6!

you'll probably never know how many hours I spent organizing your birthday party last week with 20 of your friends. but you'll always remember last night when I put my head in the bath water with my clothes on to teach you how to hold your breath because you were afraid to go to swimming class.

and so this is my prayer, the one true wish of my heart. that you remember the little things, the good things. that they remind you every day of how much you're loved. that they reveal the kindness and bravery you have inside, and carry you through any trial.

I am so grateful and proud that you call me Maman.
