while lying beneath a pile of cardboard boxes, papers and other junk and because I love you all so much

"be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a foreign tongue. do not seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. and the point is, to live everything. live the questions now. perharps you will find them gradually, without noticing it, and live along some distant day into the answer."

- Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a young poet

Such a fabulous quote. I remember when I discovered it for the first time and I felt like I could breathe again. Now this - THIS - is Scripture, non?

I have that book. My brother gave it to me when I was a young girl. It is lovely. I must find it!

Best wishes for an easy move. Is that even possible? Well, easy as possible, anyway.

Hang in there!

I love this passage. I remember the boy that gave me this book; a fleeting long distance romance with a stand-up comic.

Oh, these lovely words! I need to find my Rilke. His writing is like scriptures, as someone else noted.

I also enjoy Marcus Aurelius "Meditations" on my more stoic days.

And, I've been meaning to post a comment forever. This seemed like a perfect time! I enjoy your blog so much.

I really like the new design, Irene. The blue is very fitting for some reason. Maybe because you're such a sophisticated lady!

When do you move?
