Knit the mitten? Oh my gosh! I see it! Yes, I agree, get started soon -- watch out for the gusset. Once you get past that, decreasing is a peace of cake!

I have faith in you!

Listen to the all-wise Blackbird.
Somewhere in this internet universe, someone has already created a gift package for this book WITH THE MITTEN IN IT. I know you say you can't shop, BUT I HAVE FAITH IN YOU, now get shopping!

Have you ever seen the commerical where the mom goes in the kitchen and throws flour on her face so she looks like she's been slaving and brings out a platter of Rice Krispie Treats for her adoring kids? Do that, only with yarn and bring out the purchased mitten.
