far away love

farawaylove.jpg

I know I should be used to it now. that it should almost feel perfunctory, like a ritual that is getting too old. his black travel bag. his frequent business trips. but I woke up this morning brimming with emotion, and I thought God, please, help me get through this. I miss him. I miss him so much, I reflected, and the unbidden thought made me feel like weeping.

more Love Thursday here and here.

I love the picture. Is that in the park near the Eiffle Tower?

That's a great picture and I feel your pain. My hubbie will be in Paris 2nd wk of Oct, too bad the kids are in school, otherwise we would have tagged along with him. And maybe get to meet you too.

Beautiful black and white photo. So sorry he is far away. It's rough whenever, whatever the age.

Oh, Irene! We shall be a daddy-less home for 2 weeks. It's difficult even thinking about it. It's a little easier as the children get older, but we all miss him so. And he misses us terribly, too.
I'm sure it's the same in your house. And it's harder when you're in a new house! You don't have your usual haunts to comfort you yet.
I hope the time passes quickly for both of us!

I'm sorry your husband is traveling again. Mine has been traveling a lot too and while there are times that the distance is good, there are more of them, that I just wish he wasn't away so often. I don't do well when he travels - staying up too late, not eating proper meals, etc. I hope this isn't a long haul but a quickie instead.

I can't believe this post took 5 days to show up in my feeds... I feel ya, sister! I've grown so used to having J around after 5 years of non-stop togetherness in the islands...that I sure hope he doesn't decide to go out on the road...even though I encourage him to all the time. :)
